ETQW: Movie: Ultraviolet Productions Mamut.si - Extinction

After very long time, Ultraviolet Productions is back in the ETQW scene. About 1 year ago they released their first work called "Quake Wars Impressions", now they are back with their new work called "Mamut.si - Extinction".

Ultraviolet Productions are proud to present their first official Enemy Territory Quakewars movie.

Some time ago I started to collect demos from all clans that want to participate in one “Community Movie” like Zaigon!
At first the response was awesome, and lots of demos have been sent. However after a few weeks only few demos were sent!

So out of nowhere reload asked me if I would like to do his very own movie. I said, lets make “Dignitas” movie
and we got a deal. So about 6 months later here we are. 10 Minutes and 20 seconds of pure ETQW that hopefully show what ETQW can be at a decent level. Well in the end this movie is more or less a reload show,
Even tho this is not ET, ETPlayers should definetly give it a try. But be warned, there are vehicles.

The download is about 453MB and includes over 10 minutes high quality fragging stuff.

Save the Tapirs

Splash Damage is sending out christmascards to homepages who write about their christmas project and spend £50 to Baird's Tapir Project.

The card is drawn by Laurel 'Tully' Austin and Ed 'BongoBoy' Stern added a christmas poem to it.

We're Splash Damage, developers
Of Enemy Territ'ry
Multiplayer First Person Shooters
Played upon your PC.
We're working now on something new
Cross-platform, without peer
But right now all we want to do
Is spread some Christmas cheer.

Splash Damage loves the Tapirs
Unknown in Bethlehem,
But post this on your website
And we'll give some dosh to them.
They dwell in Costa Rica
And to prove we're not all talk
We'll sponsor a research project
At SaveTapirs.org

In this spirit, merry christmas and save the tapirs.

Raytracing is for Intel a very interesting thing. You can improve a lot of stuff like raytracing and mirroring on alot of stuff like glass, water and grounds. The upcomming Larrabee-Graphiccards are able to do this without hitting the CPU load too much. Golem.de talked to Intel-Guru  Daniel Pohl about  Raytracing, his newest Project  Quake Wars Ray Traced and the possibilities of Larrabee.

Stroyent-Powered PC's
For those of you wanting to frag in style, the gaming system gurus at GameRigs have launched a brand-new line of gaming desktops and laptops based on Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars. Clad in custom game artwork, the systems boast top-of-the-line components supplied by NVIDIA, Intel, and Crucial.

But rather than just slapping a game logo on a case, the guys also include ETQW mousepads and the official strategy guide with each of the systems, and even pre-install a copy of the game, so you can hop straight into the action when you get your new PC. Best of all, you can get $300 off for a limited time by using the coupon code "QUAKECON08".

Finally, if you prefer to live a tad later in the QUAKE timeline, all the GameRigs hardware also comes QUAKE 4-flavored. And if you're a console gamer yearning for some QUAKE goodness, GameRigs also has you covered with these rather pretty Xbox 360 and PS3 skins.
